Yankees & Angels Highlight Friday Baseball Gambling

February 29th, 2024 Betting on MLB Baseball

Yankees vs. Angels Highlight Friday Baseball Gambling. Baseball gambling on Friday includes a matchup in Los Angeles between two playoff teams from last season as the Angels host the New York Yankees. Despite being in different divisions, these two teams know each other well since they seem to meet every year in the playoffs. The MLB gambling odds on this Friday night matchup are tight since the Angels are the home team. Baseball gambling odds could feature a pitcher’s duel if things stay on schedule. The Yankees could be going with A.J. Burnett while Los Angeles is expected to counter with Ervin Santana. In his last start Santana was excellent as he nearly pitched a shutout against Toronto. He gave up a two out home run to Adam Lind but won 3-1. It was his sixth career complete game as he held Toronto to four hits and no walks while striking out six.

Another thing that points to a low scoring game in MLB gambling is the offense for Los Angeles. They have scored just five runs in Santana’s three starts this season. The Yankees did beat him on April 13th in New York as he gave up five earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. He is 5-3 with a 5.50 ERA in nine career starts against the Yankees. At home, Santana is 32-20 with a 3.77 in 50 career outings. The Yankees have won 11 of the last 20 meetings overall against the Angels. They took two of three in that series in which they beat Santana. Two of those three games went under the total.

You really have to do two separate studies if you look at the trends in this game. In the playoffs the Angels won two of their three home games against New York. They also had success in the regular season, winning four of the six meetings in Anaheim. The totals were unusual in those games. Two of the three games in September went under while two of the three in July went over with one push.

The Yankees have been solid on the road this season in baseball gambling. It has not really mattered where the Yankees have played but there is no question the lines are smaller when New York is on the road. Los Angeles has struggled so far early this season at home so that is something to keep in mind for this matchup on Friday.
