World Series Baseball Wagering Rematch: Phillies at Yankees 6/15

In the words of the great baseball wagering legend Yogi Berra: It’s déjà vu all over again. On Tuesday June 15th, 2010 the Philadelphia Phillies will descend upon the Big Apple and take on the New York Yankees in an MLB wagering repeat of the 2009 World Series baseball wagering matchup. In Game One of this three game MLB wagering series sports betting fans will be treated to one of the finest pitching duels that money can buy.  The World Champion Yankees will have their number one starter on the mound as will the Phillies.  CC Sabathia (6-3, 4.01 ERA) will get the start for NY and Roy Halladay ((8-4, 1.96 ERA) will get the start for the Phillies.  Together these two pitchers compose one of the greatest assemblages of talent you’ll ever see in any baseball wagering matchup and they make more money than the GDP of most developing countries.

To simply go by the stats Halladay is having a far superior year and has been nearly perfect in his first year of MLB wagering competition as a Philly.  His miniscule 1.96 ERA is mind-boggling and if the Phillies hitters weren’t in such a slump he’d probably be at least 12-0 in the baseball wagering competition.

Sabathia has gotten off to his typical sluggish start but by the end of the year he’ll be in the hunt to become a 20-game winner with an ERA in the 3.0 range.

Based simply on the starting pitchers in this baseball wagering matchup it might appear that the Phillies are the team to beat.  But what’s interesting in this baseball wagering matchup is the fact that the Yankees are very familiar with Halladay’s stuff as he spent most of his career with the AL East rival Toronto Blue Jays.  The Phillies on the other hand only know Sabathia from the World Series baseball wagering action and perhaps a game late in 2007 with the NL Brewers.

You have to like the Yankees at home as well as the team is an incredibly 22-7 at the New Yankee Stadium.  Just like in the 2009 World Series baseball betting action the Yankees will once again best the Phillies in this game.
