Baseball betting odds are starting to favor Silva since he is off to a great start this season. Silva was thought of as a journeyman starting pitcher but this year he has been very good. In his last start he went only three innings and gave up six runs. He has not pitched well in his career against the Cubs as he has a 4-4 record with a 4.58 ERA in 11 starts. Silva is the first Cubs starter since 1967 to open a season at 8-0. He gave up just one run and four hits in his last outing against Pittsburgh. He is the first pitcher since CC Sabathia a couple of years ago to begin a season at 8-0.
Before yesterday’s game, the White Sox had won seven of the last ten against the Cubs. Last season the Sox took four of the six games from the Cubs. They also won two of three at Wrigley. Four of the six games went under the total in baseball betting.
The White Sox have not played well at home or on the road. It probably won’t be long before the White Sox begin to make changes. They are already pretty much out of the race in the American League Central. They are well below average in hitting and in pitching.
