San Francisco at Colorado

May 30, 2011 MLB Baseball

The top two teams in the National League West meet on Monday in baseball betting as the Colorado Rockies host the San Francisco Giants.

Baseball betting fans know it should be a good pitching matchup with Tim Lincecum going for the Rockies against Colorado’s Esmil Rogers.  Bet on MLB at the Sbg global sportsbook.

Tim Lincecum
The Giants are oftentimes favored when Lincecum is on the mound even when they are on the road. That should be the case again on Monday night. Lincecum has been pretty good this season with a 1-1 record and a sparkling ERA of 1.86.  He has a record of 7-5 record in his career against the Rockies with an ERA of 3.35.

Esmil Rogers
Not many people who bet on MLB have heard of Rogers but he is off to a nice start this season at 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA.  He beat the Mets last time out as he went 5 2/3 innings with three runs on seven hits.  Rogers has not had much success against the Giants going 0-1 with a 7.07 ERA.  Some people thought that the Rockies would go with Ubaldo Jimenez on Monday but Colorado wants to keep Rogers on his same rotation so Jimenez will pitch on Tuesday.

Road Warriors
The Giants have had a lot of success on the road lately.  They had a record of 21-10 in their last 31 road games before yesterday’s contest.  Lincecum has been very good on the road and the Giants are 6-1 in Lincecum’s last 7 road starts. Looking at more baseball betting trends for San Francisco we find that the Giants are 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter.
