Baseball Betting – The Price is Right with Tampa on Saturday

March 18th, 2024 Betting on MLB Baseball

It is getting to the point in baseball betting where you can’t get a good number on Tampa Bay’s David Price but that is not the case on Saturday. The Rays are still favored in MLB betting but the number is pretty reasonable with Price on the mound. Baseball betting on the Rays has been very profitable recently as Tampa Bay has been hot and there is no pitcher that is better for the Rays than David Price. He has been a money maker for gamblers all year. Price is a sparkling 15-5 on the season with a 2.85 ERA.  When the Rays are at home it gets a little expensive to take them when Price is on the mound but on the road they are reasonable.  It sure is a lot nice to lay -150 rather than -200 or more.

This game on Saturday is the third of a four-game series.  Price is going to get some action at SBG and for good reason. He is 1-0 in his last three starts with a 2.50 ERA. He has thrown just 7 2/3 innings in his career against the A’s but they have done nothing against him. In fact, they have never gotten a run off him.

Low Scoring:  If you want to make a parlay in this game, and that is always fun then you might also want to bet the under along with Tampa Bay.  The A’s offense is not very good and they send out Brett Anderson on Saturday. You may not know much about Anderson but he has a 2.89 ERA this season. The A’s offense sucks so his record is just 3-4.  In his last three starts he has throw 20 innings and has a 2.25 ERA but yet he is 1-2 in his starts. How does that happen?  He has pitched 10 innings in his career against the Rays and has a 1.80 ERA.

The Rays and A’s met back in early May in Oakland and the A’s won two of three and all three games went way under the total.

Parlay:  A two-teamer with Tampa Bay and the under might be worth a shot on Saturday night in MLB betting.  The A’s can’t score so the Rays will probably win and it probably won’t be by much since Anderson is pretty good for Oakland.
