Rockies Rebound
The Colorado Rockies stopped the bleeding of a 5 game losing streak with a thrilling 10-9 home win over the National League West Division leading San Francisco Giants on Saturday to get back into the race for both the division and wild card playoff spots.  Colorado was in desperate need of a win after suffering the humiliation of a costly 3-game series sweep at the hands of the last place Arizona Diamondbacks last week.  Troy Tulowitzki was the star in the win over San Francisco as he had 4 hits and the game winning RBI double in the 10th inning.  Manager Jim Tracy has continued to emphasize that his team is not done and is very much in MLB Betting contention.

Tough at Home with Powerful Offense
Colorado has been one of the top home teams in baseball betting with a record of 52-25.  The Rockies went under the total in just 34 out of those 77 home games.   Offense has been the key to Colorado’s success as they ranked 6th in the major leagues for run production.  Carlos Gonzalez has led the attack with an average of .342, 34 doubles, 32 home runs, and 114 runs batted in.  Tulowitzki has also come up clutch with an average of .324, 32 doubles, 27 home runs and 95 runs batted in.

Pitching Woes
Colorado’s slump was due in large part to a pitching staff that slipped to 20th overall for staff earned run average.  Even ace starter Ubaldo Jiminez has struggled with just 2 wins in his last 7 starts and a 4-6 record in his last 13 outings after beginning the season at 15-1.

Key Start
Jiminez will start the most important MLB betting matchup of the season Monday against the Dodgers.  He is 19-7 overall with a 3.00 earned run average.  Ted Lilly will get the start for Los Angeles and has a record of 8-12 with a 3.83 earned run average.
