September 22nd, 2020 Betting on MLB Baseball

MLB odds: Red Sox vs. Rangers Betting Odds and more. The Boston Red Sox travel to the Lone Star State to begin a three game series versus the Texas Rangers tonight. The first pitch at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington is scheduled to be thrown at 8:00ET. You can view the action nationally on ESPN.

The trip from Beantown must have seemed longer than normal after the BoSox dismal weekend at home. They were swept by the Toronto Blue Jays in a three game set. To make matters worse, Toronto was without slugger, Jose Bautista and had just been the victims of a sweep themselves. The perpetrator of that feat was none other than the Red Sox’s arch nemesis, New York Yankees.

In game one, on Friday, Boston was only able to scratch out one run in the bottom of the ninth in the 6-1 loss. With that, Josh Beckett’s record dropped to 5-8 on the year. Saturday, the Red Sox scored three runs in the second on a home run by Jarrod Saltalamacchia, but that was it, in a 7-3 defeat. Yesterday, in the series finale, the Blue Jays exploded for 9 runs in the first two innings and went on to a 15-7 triumph completing the sweep.  Start your MLB Betting action on Red Sox  vs. Rangers game.

Meanwhile, in Anaheim California, the Rangers avoided the bringing out of the brooms by salvaging the middle game of a three game set against the Angels in a showdown of two division leaders. L.A. won 6-1 on Friday, dropped game two to Texas 9-2 and then came back yesterday, winning 7-4.

Boston (48-48) has fallen back into the cellar of the A.L. East. They are 9.5 games behind the 1st place Yankees who have lost their last 4. The Red Sox are 5-5 in their last 10, but do play well on the road posting a 23-20 record there.

Texas (56-38) leads the A.L. West by 5 over the Angels and have an excellent 29-16 home mark. This will be their first game back in Arlington since the All Star break. Check the MLB Odds for Red Sox  vs. Rangers game.

Tonight’s pitching probables are southpaw, Felix Doubrount (10-4, 4.24 ERA) for Boston and righty, Scott Feldman (3-6, 5.89 ERA) for Texas.

The Rangers are home favorites at -$145 and the Red Sox are a +$125. The over / under is 10.5 total runs on a $115/$100 moneyline.
