MLB odds defending champion Philadelphia Phillies are off to a terrific start in the 2009 MLB betting odds. Teams often suffer a bit of a hang over after winning the baseball odds World Series, but not the Phillies. Also one other caveat that might give the Nats hope in his baseball odds contest is the fact that the Phillies have been surprisingly bad at home.

This could be one of the rare match ups in the baseball odds when the clearly inferior team (the Nats) might be able to sneak a win from the clearly superior team (the Phils).
