Baseball Wagering – Late Night Action on Wednesday Heats up With Rockies vs. Dodgers on ESPN

November 30th, 2010 Betting on MLB Baseball

Gamblers get an extra chance for TV action on Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Colorado Rockies on ESPN.

There are two ESPN games scheduled for Wednesday in MLB wagering which means double the excitement.

Baseball wagering on the Dodgers has been a big time disappointment this season. The Dodgers were expected to be a playoff team and they have let down gamblers more often than not. The Rockies have had their moments but on the road they are a huge risk.  That makes things very interesting for Wednesday night.

Colorado Starting Pitcher:  Jason Hammel – The Rockies are going with Jason Hammel on Wednesday.  He is 8-7 on the season with a 4.42 ERA.  In his last three starts he is 1-1 with a 4.87 ERA. Hammel has pitched well in his career against the Dodgers so the Rockies might be worth a look in this game.  He is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA in his career.  With the Dodgers being overpriced the Rockies could be a solid underdog to get the money in ESPN’s late night game.

Los Angeles Starting Pitcher: Hiroki Kuroda – The Dodgers are looking at starting Hiroki Kuroda on Wednesday.  He is 8-11 on the season with a 3.53 ERA.  He has been the hard luck pitcher on the staff for the Dodgers.  If you back Kuroda with your wagers then you have had some tough beats. Five of his losses this season have come when the Dodgers didn’t get him a single run.  He has pitched pretty well lately with a 3.50 ERA but he has nothing to show for it with two losses in his last three starts.  He has been terrible in his career against the Rockies with a 0-3 record and a 7.57 ERA.

Prediction: When you look at his game and get ready for a wager at SBG you might want to take the Rockies.  The only cause for concern is that they have struggled against the Dodgers historically. They were 6-14 in the last 20 games against Los Angeles before this series began.  With hard luck Kuroda on the mound though the Rockies offer a nice price as an underdog and could get the cash in this late night ESPN game.
