Five Weekend Tracks, Three Stakes Races, Churchill Downs & Santa Anita

Above all horse racing has been the one sport that has not blinked during COVID-19. Racing has continued even as all other major sports shut down. As a result, there has been a record spike for a handle with the Horse Racing odds. And this weekend adds to the excitement. Five tracks will offer full cards. Accordingly, three stakes races will draw considerable interest for Saturday. Two of the stakes races will take place at Churchill Downs. Santa Anita will feature the other Saturday stakes race. Let’s now take a look at a big weekend with the ponies.

Churchill Downs – Louisville, Kentucky – Saturday and Sunday

Saturday features a total of 11 races on the Churchill Downs card. Namely the $100,000 Winning Colors Stakes and Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes headline the action. Sunday will then offer 11 more Offshore betting races.

Santa Anita Park – Arcadia, California – Saturday, and Sunday

Saturday’s card has nine races scheduled. In turn, the $100,000 Honeymoon Stakes is the top race of the weekend at Santa Anita. Sunday will feature 10 more races on the card for Horse Racing Odds.

Flavien Prat has been the top jockey at the current Santa Anita meet with over $3.2 million in earnings. Overall Pratt has 249 starts, with 62 wins, 44 seconds, and 42 third-place finishes. The second place in the Santa Anita jockey standings is Abel Cedillo with over $3 million in earnings. Cedillo has 322 stars, with 51 wins, 51 seconds, and 41 third-place runs.

Tampa Bay – Oldsmar, Florida – Saturday

Saturday will feature a total of nine races on the Tampa Bay card.

On the whole three jockeys have carried the current Tampa Bay meet. Samy Comacho, Antonia A. Gallardo, and Daniel Centeno have surpassed the $1.4 million mark in total earnings. Furthermore, each jockey has a win percentage of over 21%.

Gulfstream Park – Hallandale, Florida – Saturday and Sunday

Overall Gulfstream Park will feature 11 races on Saturday with 10 more on Sunday.

In sum, three jockeys have dominated the Gulfstream Park meet with over $1 million in earnings. Luis Saez has 233 starts, with 49 wins, 38 seconds, and 32 third-place finishes. Second place Irad Ortiz Jr. has 120 starts, with 37 wins, 30 seconds, and 18 third-place finishes. Edgard J. Zayas has 258 stars, with 33 wins, 40 seconds, and 34 third-place runs. Most important of all Ortiz Jr. has a win percentage of 31%.

Remington Park – Oklahoma City – Saturday

Fashion that there will be a total of 12 races on the Remington Park Card for Saturday.

In view of James A. Flores’ performance has Remington Park draws gambling action. Flores is the top Remington jockey with over $1.3 million in earnings. That is more than double for the second-place jockey. In like manner, Flores has a win percentage of 24%.
