On the whole, Jon Rahm is a name that gamblers are becoming more familiar with. Winning has a way of making converts out of the betting public. Rahm has held the point on the Official World Golf Ranking for most of the past year. Although he trails Scottie Scheffler on the OWGR this week, that is not held against him with the Golf betting Lines. Rahm had that number one ranking for 43 weeks before Scheffler took over. During that time, he became a respected name on the board. Additionally, Rahm’s win at the 202 US Open added credibility.

2022 Masters Tournament Overview
Last year Hideki Matsuyama was the Masters Tournament champion. That makes him a sports betting underdog for this year’s Masters Tournament. To show, Tiger Woods was the last player to win consecutive championships in 2001-02. The decline of Woods and his ugly fall from grace has opened up a level of parity unseen in the past two decades. Woods took the game over in the late 1990s and won five Masters championships. It was assumed he would shatter all of the records set by Jack Nicklaus. Yet Woods was brought down by the only opponent capable of defeating him. That would be himself.
At the onset of Masters week, any number of quality golfers can win the coveted Green Jacket. And Jon Rahm is at the top of that list.
Jon Rahm +1000
Second on the Official World Golf Ranking is Jon Rahm. Following his 9th place finish at the World Golf Championship Dell Technologies Match Play, Rahm fell from first to second. Of great concern is that Rahm finished 17th or worse in his three events before the WGC event. Since winning the 2021 TOUR Championship, Rahm has been winless. Rahm’s only win in a major tournament came at the 2021 US Open. His best Masters Tournament finish was 4th in 2018.
Jordan Spieth +1300
Once upon a time, Jordan Spieth was considered the next dominant champion. And the heir apparent to Tiger Woods. And in 2015, Spieth fed into that with the PGA Player of the Year award and FedEx Cup championship. Additionally, Spieth was the winner of the Masters’ Tournament, PGA Championship, and US Open. However, that 2015 season proved to be too much too soon.
For several seasons Spieth struggled, only to finally show signs of improvement with the Golf Betting Lines in 2021. Spieth ranks 17th on the OWGR. He has been 26th or worse in his previous four events after improved play.
