Golf Betting – PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament

November 30th, 2010 Golf Betting

Golf betting for the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament gets underway in early December as players try and earn their PGA Tour cards for 2010.

It should be an exciting six days for those that bet on golf with the tournament running from December 2nd through the 7th from the Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Golf betting will see the event covering 108 holes with only the low 25 scores and ties getting their cards for next season.  The rest of the field will be able to play on the Nationwide Tour. The purse for this golf betting event is over a million dollars although the winner only gets $50,000.

There are some big names that have a lot at stake in this golf betting event.  David Duval was once number one in the world but he needs a good few days to keep his card.  Others like Todd Hamilton and Tim Herron did not expect to be in this position either.  Familiar golf betting names like Jeff Maggert, Joe Ogilivie, Jesper Parnevik and Tom Pernice Jr. are trying to finish in the Top 25 in this golf betting tourney. Others like Patrick Sheehan, Carlos Franco, Omar Uresti, Dicky Pride, Skip Kendall, Robert Damron, Marco Dawson and Glen Day are also looking to make the Top 25. Some of these names are very familiar and it is very likely that some of them will not make the Top 25 when all is said and done.

If you don’t think this golf betting tournament is critical to the players you might want to think again. And it can be critical to those that bet on golf too.  Eight players who were in qualifying school a year ago finished this season among the Top 125 including PGA Champion Y.E. Yang. Jason Dufner also had a great year in golf betting tourneys after playing in qualifying last year.

There should be some intense golf betting action on this event since the players are competing for their PGA Tour cards.  Those that bet on golf should find the event exciting with a lot of great action.  Big names are on the golf betting board that you might not have expected to see in a qualifying tournament.

Take a look at the golf betting options for the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament and get ready to bet on golf.
