2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational Overview

Last year Francisco Molinari was the offshore betting winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. For 2020 the purse for this event is expected to be $9.3 million with a winning share of $1.6 million. Tiger Woods is the all-time winner of this event with a whopping eight championships. Accordingly, Matt Every was the last repeat champion for 2014 and 2015. Woods won back to back titles here in 2012 and 2013. Recent winners include Rory McIlroy in 2018, Marc Leishman in 2017, and Jason Day in 2016.

Specifically, this tournament has been held at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge since 1974, which is a suburb of Orlando. It has been known as the Arnold Palmer Invitational since 1979 as a successor to the Florida Citrus Open Invitational. Palmer was the winner in 1971.

Top Contenders

First atop the Official World Golf Ranking is Rory McIlroy. McIlroy skipped the Honda Classic after finishing fifth at the Word Golf Championships Mexico Championship.

Second on the OWGR is Tommy Fleetwood, who finished third at the Honda Classic. Much like Sungjae Im , Fleetwood is considered to be a player that is eventually going to win an American PGA event.

Also taking off the Honda Classic was Bryson Dechambeau, who finished second at the WGC Mexico Championship. Consider that Dechambeau has finished eighth for better in three of his last four events. He is now 14th on the OWGR.

Adam Scott could bring potential value with a ranking if sixth on the OWGR. Last week was a bye for Scott after a disappointing 26th place finishes at WGC Mexico.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Betting Odd Picks

In this situation, Adam Scott is a classic beaten favorite with the Golf Betting Lines. Scott had won two tournaments in a row before Mexico. Look for a strong recovery this week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
