At the onset of any golf year, the AT&T Pro-Am marks the symbolic start of a long campaign. Cause by the AT&T Pro-Am is one of the most popular events on the PGA Tour. 2025 AT&T Pro-Am Top Contenders
Scottie Scheffler
First on the Official World Golf Ranking is Scottie Scheffler. Last year, Scheffler won the 2024 TOUR Championship and his second Masters Tournament. In 2024, Scheffler posted seven online wagering wins, two runners-up, and 16 Top 10 finishes. He has not played since winning the Hero World Challenge in December. He cut all 19 events that he competed in last year. Scheffler finished in the Top 10 in four of his last six events.
Collin Morikawa
Collin Morikawa is 5th on the Official World Golf Ranking. Last year, he played in 22 events, made the cut 20 times, and finished eight in the Top 10. Morikawa was the runner-up at The Sentry on January 5, 2205. His latest win was at the TOUR Championship – 72 Hole Scores.
Wyndham Clark
Last year’s champion, Wyndham Clark, is 7th on the Official World Golf Ranking. His only win of 2024 was at the AT&T Pro-Am. Last time out, the American missed the cut at The American Express. Previously, he finished 15th at The Sentry.
Rory McIlroy
With 26 career wins, Rory McIlroy is one of the biggest names on the board. Concurrently, McIlroy ranks 3rd on the Official World Golf Ranking. McIlroy is coming off a 4th place finish at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. Previously, he was the winner of the DP World Tour Championship.
Hideki Matsuyama
In sum, Hideki Matsuyama ranks 4th on the Official World Golf Ranking. He is coming off a 16th place finish at the SONY Open in Hawaii. Previously, he was the winner of The Sentry in Week 1 of the season. Also, Matsuyama won the FedEx St. Jude Championship in 2024.
Adam Scott
So far, Adam Scott ranks 18th on the Official World Golf Ranking. He is coming off a 37th place finish at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and was 15th at The Sentry.
