2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson Golf Betting Odds, Picks & Preview (May 02-05, 2024)

This week, the PGA Tour heads to TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, TZ, for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Last year, Jason Day beat the Golf Betting Lines for the win. It was the second time that Day took the title. Previously, Lee Kyoung-hoon won the CJ Cup in 2-21 and 2022. At the onset, gamblers will immediately notice that most of the big names in golf are missing on the board. Hence, the field will be wide open with parity and value opportunities. Certainly, live betting will get a boost with such an equal field.

2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson Top Contenders

Jordan Spieth

Despite his lack of recent online betting success, Jordan Spieth ranks 20th on the Official World Golf Ranking. Spieth has been in a terrible stretch heading into this week. Spieth has finished in the Top 10 in only two of his last seven events.

Last time out, Spieth finished 30th at the RBC Heritage. At the Masters Tournament, Spieth missed the cut. Following a 10th-place finish at the Valero Texas Open, Spieth missed the cut at the Valspar Championship and the PLAYERS Championship. Spieth was 30th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and did not qualify at the Genesis. Finally, he was 6th at the WM Phoenix Open and 39th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

To illuminate, Spieth is the favorite because he is a name brand in a weak field. But his current form is an eyesore that makes it difficult for serious gamblers to lay an expensive price.

Jason Day

In like manner to Spieth, Jason Day has had his share of poor play in recent weeks. Day has failed to crack the Top 10 in his last five events. Day is coming off an 18th-place finish at the RBC Heritage. Previously, he was 30th at the Masters Tournament and missed the cut at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Before that, Day was 35th at the PLAYERS Championship and 36th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Day had a couple of solid performances before that. To show, he was 9th at the Genesis Invitational and 6th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. Day ranks 22nd on the Official World Golf Ranking.

Si Woo Kim

Si Woo Kim is 45th on the Official World Golf Ranking. Last time out, Kim placed 18th at the RBC Heritage. Kim finished 30th at the Masters Tournament and 17th at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. His best finish was before that when he finished 6th at the PLAYERS Championship.

Adam Scott

At the beginning of the week, Adam Scott ranked 52nd on the Official World Golf Ranking. Like the rest of the field, Scott has been in a mediocre stretch. Last time out, Scott finished 22nd at the Masters Tournament. Previously, Scott finished 14th at the Valero Texas Open. But at the PLAYERS Championship, he finished 45th. Also, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Scott missed the cut.
