MLS Soccer Betting Weekend Looks as Bright as GK Persei

Chicago-Fire-vs-Atlanta-UnitedFC

This Saturday will be a beacon of Major League Soccer betting featuring the likes of Chicago Fire, Sporting Kansas City, and Portland Timbers.

Chicago Fire vs. Atlanta United FC

Time: 4:00 PM
Venue: Toyota Park

MLS Soccer Betting Sportsbook odds for fans who bet on soccer:

Atlanta United +½ (+113) 3 (EV) +390
Chicago Fire -½ (-128) 3 (-115) -134
Atlanta United/Chicago Fire Draw +305

Atlanta had a three-game undefeated streak snapped by the Whitecaps, whom they loss to 1-3 on Saturday. United took an early lead, held possession for 66.6% of the game (huh. gives new meaning – or rather old meaning – to the word possession), and completed 82% of 514 passes. However, all of this domination was not reflected on the scoreboard. But at least everybody in attendance got a free haircut.

The Fire could not prevail over an Orlando City that had two players sent off on Sunday, but at least they didn’t lose either – meaning their unbeaten streak reached its sixth straight game. All things considered, though, the Men in Red will have to be on their toes this Saturday when they face a full, eleven-man team.

Sporting Kansas City vs. Montreal Impact soccer betting review

Time: 8:00 PM
Venue: Children’s Mercy Park

Odds for fans who bet on soccer:
Montreal Impact +1 (-108) 2½ (-126) +579
Sporting Kansas City -1 (-107) 2½ (+111) -184
Montreal Impact/Sporting Kansas City Draw +326

KC snapped a two-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Minnesota on Saturday. Ike Opara, Jimmy Medranda and Saad Abdul-Salaam scored for Kansas. Abdul-Salaam replaced Graham Zusi. The Wizards remained undefeated at home where they have won their last six in a row – during which period they have had four clean sheets.

Blerim Dzemaili scored his first MLS goal to give the Impact their second straight win and third in the last five games, 1-0 against the Red Bulls on Saturday. An earlier score by the Swiss midfielder was disallowed but he got a do-over and made it count. And speaking of people who are neutral, Montreal effectively neutralized Sacha Kljestan – meaning these Red Bulls did not have wings.

Portland Timbers vs. FC Dallas soccer betting review

Time: 10:30 PM
Venue: Providence Park

Odds for fans who bet on soccer:
FC Dallas +½ (-126) 2½ (-124) +258
Portland Timbers -½ (+111) 2½ (+109) +114
FC Dallas/Portland Timbers Draw +252

Los Toros had been hit-and-miss lately, going 0-2-2 in the last six games. However, the Hoops made an authoritative statement with a 6-2 trouncing of the Real World: Salt Lake on Saturday. Dallas became the first team in league history to lead 5-0 at halftime, while Roland Lamah scored the fastest hat-trick in the history of the franchise.

The Timbers ended a five-game winless streak with a 2-0 win over San Jose on Friday. Diego Valeri scored twice for the second time this season in a return to form following a minor injury. “Diego looked sharp again,” head coach Caleb Porter said. “A couple of games back from injury, I think it took him a little bit just to get into a rhythm.”
