Mexico vs. Germany Betting odds preview for FIFA World Cup

Mexico Opens as World Cup Betting Dog vs. Germany

October 30th, 2018 Football Soccer

Its not as if Mexico lacks World Cup betting respect.  In many cases they would even be a favorite to win most matches.   Unfortunately for the Mexicans they open World Cup play against the top chalk.  Not to mention the defending champion.  Germany is the Great Colossus that is expected to repeat as champions.  And become the first team since 1962 Brazil to repeat.  What is scary is that this German team looks much deeper and better than 2014.  Also improved is the team from Mexico.  But they had a most unlucky Group draw.  An upset is quite unlikely.

Mexico’s Hopes

Mexico is attempting to make it to the quarterfinals for the first time.  To have a shot at that goal they must finish in the top two of Group F.  Assuming Germany wins the foursome, Mexico would have to finish second.  It they do they will make the Round of 16.  And get their World Cup betting shot at history.  While they had no problem qualifying there was still controversy.  Head coach Juan Carlos Osorio is not afraid to experiment.  He has changed tactics many times on the road to Russia.  It has served to drive fans crazy.

Qualifying to the World Cup

Mexico finished ahead of respected Costa Rica in qualifying.  The was despite all of the inner turmoil on the team.  Costa Rica is a respected program.  And it speaks well of El Tri that they beat out Los Ticos.  Many believe Mexico can make it to its first ever fifth game.  Timing seems right.  Roster wise the talent is ripe for glory.  Quality players abound.  Javier Hernandez is the all time goal scorer for the Mexicans.  He has tallied 43 international goals.  Captain Andres Guardado has the experience of 143 caps.  Vela has 18 goals and 62 caps as well.

The Superlatives for Germany are perpetual and justified.  This is one of the most powerful teams ever assembled.  While Die Mannschaft is an expensive sportsbook online bet it’s completely understandable.  Qualification was a reminder as to why they are the big chalk.  Germany won all 10 of their qualification matches.  Their goal differential was an inhumane +39.

Joachim Low

German coach Joachim Low has reached the Zenith of coaching respect. He is tops in the world.  Low unleashed his uber talented team.  He demands dynamic and creative play.  For fans it makes for great entertainment.  Die Mannschaft is a pleasure to watch.  They epitomize “The Beautiful Game.”  However, opponents do not enjoy this relentless blitzkrieg.  The overbearing Germans steamroll with the attack.  And do so because they can.  Most opponents are rendered helpless.  And exposed as utterly incapable.

Matchup to Watch

Defense is the World Cup betting matchup difference.  Mexico also likes to take to the attack.  But their back end is much more vulnerable than the Germans.  El Tri has also shown weakness at standing up to the counter.  They don’t matchup well against the merciless machine of Germany.

World Cup Betting Odds Picks

Germany should take apart Mexico.  They are the more complete team.
