Houston Defeats DC United on Soccer Betting

In the SuperLiga soccer betting league competition this team has also been unbeatable.  The latest victim for the red hot Dynamo was DC United, a streaking team in its own right, who fell to Houston 1-0 in the final soccer betting game of the group B qualifying stage.  The soccer betting victory guarantees Houston a place in the knock out round and because of DC United previous wins; it will also advance as well.

Brian Ching, as has often been the case this year, was Houston hero scoring the lone goal of the day.  Soccer betting odds experts watched early in the second half the Nate Jaqua battled for and won a ball at midfield.  He spotted a streaking Ching and hit with a perfectly timed long ball.  Ching collected the ball, battled for a moment with a defender and then launched a full volley across his body that struck the back of the net just inside the right side post.  It was nothing new for soccer betting fans that have grown accustomed to seeing him score a team high six goals in the MLS.  However, it was his first score in the SuperLiga soccer betting league competition.  Houston notched the shutout despite playing with its second string goaltender, Zach Wells, who recorded five saves in the scoreless effort.

Houston will next face Pachuca, the second place team in Group A play.  The teams will meet on August 14. DC United will take on the LA Galaxy, winners of group A on August 15.  Both soccer betting matches will be ‘win or go home’ and there is a very good possibility that Houston and DC could meet again in the finals.  Soccer betting odds for those games will be interesting.
