Euro Cup betting odds for the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship has Germany as the current favorite.

Germany is the 4.5 to 1 favorite in Euro Cup odds. Euro 2008 will begin in Austria and Switzerland on June 7th and conclude on June 29th.

Euro Cup betting odds have the two host teams, Austria and Switzerland as longshots to win it all. Switzerland is 24-1 while Austria is the longest shot at 80-1. Those two teams qualified automatically as the host nations. Just behind Germany in Euro Cup betting odds are Spain at 6.5 to 1 and Italy at 7.5 to 1. Portugal is the fourth choice in Euro Cup betting at 8-1.

Those are the only four teams at our website with Euro Cup odds of less than 10-1. France is listed at 10-1 in Euro Cup betting odds and they are followed by Croatia at 13-1. The Netherlands and the Czech Republic have Euro Cup betting odds of 15-1. Greece is 28-1, Sweden 33-1, Russia 35-1, Turkey 38-1, Romania 42-1 and Poland 45-1 in Euro Cup betting odds.

The Euro Cup betting odds to win the individual groups have Portugal a slight favorite in Group A over the Czech Republic. Germany is a heavy favorite to win Group B at -200 while Croatia is the solid second Euro Cup odds choice at +250. Group C has Italy a very slight favorite over France and the Netherlands. This group has the closes Euro Cup betting odds between the top three teams with Romania a very distant fourth choice. Group D has Spain a heavy Euro Cup betting favorite followed by Sweden, Greece and Russia.

The top two from each group will qualify for the quarter finals. That means Italy, France or the Netherlands will not make it out of the Group stage in Group C. That is one reason why Germany is a slight favorite in overall Euro Cup betting odds. The Czech Republic could be a team to watch as they actually finished ahead of Germany in qualifying. Portugal is another team to keep an eye on in Euro Cup odds as they were the Euro 2004 finalist and have players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Deco and Quaresma.
