Beckham Scores First MLS Goal

After months of hype of thousand of headlines, David Beckham sitting on the bench in his perfectly cut suits, the moment arrived: Beckham scored his first goal in an LA Galaxy jersey.

Soccer betting fans had been waiting for what seemed like years for Beckham’s fitness to finally arrive at a level sufficient enough to start an MLS soccer betting game.  After making a brief debut in an exhibition soccer betting game against the former English Premiership champion, Chelsea FC, and several weeks later playing only briefly in a few MLS soccer betting matches; the former English captain finally got the start against DC UNITED.

He made the most of it by scoring a soccer bet goal and notching an assist against the heavily favored DC United squad in the SuperLiga semifinal match at home.  Beckham’s soccer betting goal came in the 27th minute on one of his soccer bet signature free kicks.  Just like the famous movie title, the Galaxy captain, indeed, “bent it like Beckham” to put LA up 1-0.  He also set up a beautiful soccer bet goal for US national team star, Landon Donovan to round off the soccer betting scoring.

Beckham, still not quite 100% fit, played only 63 minutes.  He was taken out midway through the second half when it looked as though the two goal cushion would hold for the home team.  He also received a yellow card in the 18th minute for a rough tackle on United star Jamie Moreno, and that fear of a second card, along with concern for his fitness, also likely played a role in his leaving the soccer betting game early.

With Beckham at 100% it’s easy to imagine the LA Galaxy attack as one of the most potent in the MLS.  Although he has lost a step, his skill level is still world class as evidenced by his fantastic play for Real Madrid last year.  With the speedy Donovan running down field Beckham should have plenty of chances to set up goals and perhaps even create some of his own -never his specialty- against the sub-par competition of the MLS.

And that’s very good news for a struggling LA squad that is languishing in the second to last spot in the league.  However, with hefty six soccer betting games in hand, this team could easily still make a run at the division title and at the very least qualify for the soccer betting playoffs.
