2007 Tour de France Betting at SBG Global

September 6th, 2024 Cycling Betting

Tour de France 2007 at SBG Global Online. Bet on Tour de France and Start Winning at SBG Global. The 2007 Tour de France betting  was won by Alberto Contador but the race will be remembered by bicycle racing fans more for the doping controversies that surrounded it than for who won the race.

The 2006 winner Floyd Landis did not compete after allegations he failed doping tests last year. Bicycle racing favorite Alexandre Vinokourov and his entire team were thrown out of the 2007 Tour de France betting amidst doping allegations. Michael Rasmussen who was leading the race after the 16th stage was fired by his team after not making himself available for random drug testing. Bicycle racing fans really didn’t have much to cheer about in the 2007 Tour de France.

Bicycle racing fans saw a close finish but it was among three unknown riders. Contador was first, Cadel Evans finished second and Levi Leipheimer finished third. The top three were separated by only 31 second at the finish. The 94th running of the race, took place from July 7th to July 29th beginning with a Prologue in London and ending with the finish in Paris. Unfortunately for bicycle racing fans the sport has taken a real black eye of late with all of the doping problems.Hopefully that will change in the future and bicycle racing fans can enjoy the races once again.
