Tour of Spain odds makers have been working overtime and the Spain Tour odds are all but set heading into the 2008 edition of the race. While there are some familiar names included in the Spain Tour odds favorites, it’s mostly veterans that headline the list of Tour of Spain odds riders.

Defending Spain Tour odds champs and climbing demon Denis Menchov is among the favorites in the Tour of Spain odds.  He is an almost indefatigable rider that has had success in the Spain Tour odds twice in the past. He knows what it takes to win the Spain Tour odds and that is a huge advantage in this grueling race, especially since it includes the torturous Angliru this year.  Generally seasoned riders are favored in the Tour of Spain odds and this year is no different.

But Menchov will face stiff competition in the Spain Tour odds, especially from the Spanish. Throughout the history of Spain Tour odds the Spanish have been overwhelming winning more than half of the Tour of Spain odds races. Top Spanish riders this year include Alberto Contador is also a terrific climber and has done well in the past in the Spain Tour odds and already has a Giro d’Italia title this season. His success on the climb-heavy Italian course bodes well for the Spaniard as he vies to impress his countrymen in the Spain Tour odds.

Another Spanish rider that will be looking to wow the Spain Tour odds home crowd is Alejandro Valverde. Valverde is perhaps best known to many fans for his strong performances at the Tour de France, but he will be one of the favorites in the Spain Tour odds. Currently the road racing champ of Spain, he’s one of the most talented multi-disciplined riders in the Spain Tour odds and must be considered one of the favorites. He climbs well and with a handful of time trials and flat racing in this year’s Spain Tour odds he could be the rider best suited to take the victory.
