Following seven weeks of play, the East Division of the CFL is top-heavy while the West Division is showing more parity. In the East, the Toronto Argonauts have gone from the penthouse to the outhouse. Toronto has the worst record in the league. The Argos’ stunning fall has caught a lot of gamblers by surprise with the CFL Odds. Most important of all, Toronto is one of the worst values on the board. Meanwhile, the Montreal Alouettes continue to impress on the field but not as much as the betting window.

Montreal Shoots Down the Argos
In a CFL rivalry showdown on July 17, the Montreal Alouettes beat the Toronto Argonauts 26-25. However, it was Toronto who got the sports betting payout as 9.5-point dogs. It was a rare cover for the Argos, who went all out against their hated rivals. For Toronto, it was a heartbreaking defeat. The Argos led 25-7 in the third quarter but blew the game with under two minutes to play. Namely, Davis Alexander scored on a 10-yard TD run to win the game for the Als.
Montreal leads the East Division with a record of 4-2 straight up and 3-3 against the spread. Correlate that quarterback Davis Alexander threw for 303 yards and a TD for Montreal. In four games this season, Alexander has a 72.7 completion rate, good for 1106 yards, 9.1 yards per attempt, and a 6/3 TD/INT ratio.
Gamblers are increasingly annoyed with Montreal. Cause by the Alouettes failed to cover three consecutive games. Montreal leads the CFL defensively for the fewest yards allowed and is 2nd for points allowed. However, the Als rank 6th in total offense, 7th in passing yards, and 4th in scoring.
Alouettes at Stampeders in Potential Grey Cup Preview
On deck for Montreal is a potential Grey Cup championship preview at the Calgary Stampeders. Late on Calgary is rolling with a CFL betting lines record of 5-1 straight up and against the spread. The Stamps are coming off a statement-making 41-20 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Of course, Winnipeg is the established power of the West Division. Yet Calgary has won and covered twice over Winnipeg in the past three weeks.
There is an element of extremes when it comes to the Stamps. To show, Calgary ranks 1st for total offense and 2nd for scoring. However, the Stamps rank 8th for total defense but 1st for fewest points allowed. However, gamblers are primarily focused on winning and seeking strong wagering value.
Quarterback Vernon Adams leads Calgary. To illuminate, Adams has a 67.5 completion percentage with 1720 yards, 10.6 yards per attempt, and an 8/6 TD/INT ratio. Last week, Adams was 16-24 for 267 yards and three TDs in a 41-20 win at Winnipeg.
