Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Calgary Stampeders
Certainly, the CFL is saving the best for last in Week 10 for the showdown between the Blue Bombers and Stampeders.
However, a team that is quietly emerging as one to watch is the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Hamilton is 6-2 straight up and 5-3 against the spread. Hamilton has covered five of its most recent six games, including three straight.
Bombers and Stamps in West Division Showdown
In a CFL sports betting rivalry showdown, the Calgary Stampeders will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the best matchup of Week 10.
The Calgary Stampeders are 5-3 straight up, 5-3 against the spread, and 3-5 under the total. Last week’s loss at Ottawa was the second consecutive defeat for the Stamps. Quarterback Phillip Walker threw three interceptions, which proved to be the difference for Calgary. Number one QB Vernon Adams was on the 1-week injury list, and his absence was costly with the CFL betting lines.
Overall, Calgary ranks 4th for total offense and 5th for scoring. Defensively, the Stamps rank 8th overall and 1st for points allowed.
Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 4-3 straight up, 4-3 against the spread, and 5-2 over the total. Last week, Winnipeg snapped a 3-game losing streak with the 40-31 win and cover over the Toronto Argonauts as 3-point home favorites. It was a nice revenge win after a 31-17 loss at Toronto in the previous week. Winnipeg jumped out to a 31-10 lead before having to stave off a late Toronto rally. Winnipeg QB Chris Streveler was 17-21 for 173 yards but threw three interceptions.
Overall, on offense, the Blue Bombers rank 5th for total yards and 3rd for scoring. Defensively, Winnipeg ranks 7th overall and 7th for points allowed.
Late on, Calgary has covered five consecutive games against Winnipeg with three straight up wins in the last four meetings. The Blue Bombers and Stampeders went over the total in four of their most recent five meetings, including three straight games. Previously this season, Calgary routed Winnipeg 37-16 in Calgary on July 3 and 41-20 at Winnipeg on July 18. Calgary stands at 5-3 straight up, but 3-5 against the spread and 3-5 under the total.
In this situation, Calgary has the advantage in its series with Winnipeg.
SBG Best Bet: Calgary Stampeders.
