But Montreal is in range at 1-4. So too is Ottawa, even with a record of 0-5. On Thursday night, the Redblacks will host the Alouettes in a critical East Division matchup. In like manner, the Redblacks suffered a late crushing loss. Ottawa led Hamilton 23-18 late in the game but lost 25-23. Hamilton won the game with 34 seconds to play. Now, Ottawa stands at 0-5 straight up, 2-3 against the spread, and 2-3 under the total. The Redblacks rank 5ht for total offense, 8th for scoring offense, 8th for total defense, and 5th for points allowed.
Of major concern is that Ottawa quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is out until September with an injury. Ottawa has a massive injury list that is adding to its problems.
Alouettes at Redblacks Against the Spread
Montreal has gone over the total in four of their most recent five games. But the Alouettes have covered five of their most recent seven away games.
Of great concern is that Ottawa has covered only seven of their most recent 23 games. The Redblacks have gone under the total in nine of their most recent 11 games. Specifically, at home, Ottawa has covered only one of their last four matchups. And all five of those home games were lost straight up. Four of those five home contests went under the total.
