Toronto Argonauts Sinking Fast
Following five weeks of play, the Toronto Argonauts are 1-4 straight up and against the spread. Three of their games went under the sports betting total. Of major concern to gamblers is the horrible metrics of the Argos. Toronto ranks 9th for total offense, 6th for scoring offense, 8th for total defense, and 8th for points allowed.
Last game, Toronto’s porous defense was lit up in a 51-38 home loss to the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Head coach Ryan Dinwiddie has led the team to four playoff appearances and two Grey Cup championships in his four seasons. All of that could come crashing down in 2025. Following this week’s bye is a July 17 game at the Montreal Alouettes.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers Drop Arsenal on Sportsbooks
So far in 2025, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 3-1 straight up and against the spread, with three of their games going over the total. Head coach Mike O’Shea continues to thrive as the greatest coach in Winnipeg history. O’Shea and his Blue Bombers are aiming for their ninth consecutive playoff berth and six consecutive appearance in the Grey Cup championship game. Additionally, Winnipeg won the West Division the past four seasons.
Last week, the Blue Bombers suffered a statement-making 37-17 loss at the Calgary Stampeders. Winnipeg ranks 2nd for total offense, 5th for scoring offense, 3rd for scoring defense, and 4th for total defense.
Quarterback Zach Collaros has a 74.8 completion percentage with six TDs and four interceptions. Also, he is averaging 7.8 yards per attempt and 267 yards per game.
Following the big win at Calgary, the Blue Bombers are off until July 18 when they host a CFL betting lines rematch with Calgary.
Montreal Alouettes Stay Above Water
The 2023 Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes are 3-2 straight up and against the spread with 3-2 over the total. However, the Als have lost their last two games. Last time out, Montreal lost 21-21 at home to the BC Lions. That followed a 35-17 loss at the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Next is a bye week followed by a July 17 home game with the Toronto Argonauts.
Overall, the Alouettes rank 6th for total offense, 4th for scoring offense, 2nd for total defense, and 2nd for points allowed.
Calgary Stampeding to Cashier’s Cage
The Calgary Stampeders are 3-1 straight up and against the spread with 2-2 over the total. The Stamps win over the Blue Bombers has gamblers looking harder. Now comes a Friday matchup at Saskatchewan.
