Breeders Cup Odds – Contenders in the Turf

November 30th, 2010 Breeders Cup Betting

The race in Breeders Cup odds that has the second highest purse behind the Classic is the $3 million dollar Breeders Cup Turf.

There are some interesting contenders in this race but also some questions that still need to be answered. Let’s take a look at what could happen in the Turf and the horses to consider in online gambling at Sbgglobal.

Behkabad – There is no question that this horse will be in the field.  He won The Grand Prix de Paris and Prix Niel but finished fourth as the favorite in the Arc de Triomphe. He had a bad trip in that race so the fourth place finish can be excused.

Sans Frontieres – This horse won the Irish St. Leger, Geoffrey Freer Stakes and the Princess of Wales’s Stakes. He is a serious threat for trainer Jeremy Noseda.

Dubussy – Won the Arlington Million and ran a solid third in the Champion Stakes.

Plumania – This horse could run in the Turf or in the Filly & Mare Turf.  She was awful in the Arc but she has won over the males in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and she was second in the Prix Vermeille.

Workforce – This horse won the English Derby and the Arc de Triomphe. He worked well over the weekend and could be a major contender in Breeders Cup odds in the Turf.

Dangerous Midge – He won by four lengths in the Dubai Duty Free Arc Trial and is getting a lot of respect from horse players.

Al Khali – He ran fourth in the Canadian International for trainer Bill Mott but it was a bad trip. It would be a tough thing to run this horse after only running three weeks ago, but Mott is considering it.

Other Contenders – Duncan, Winchester, Pddy O’Prado, Champ Pegasus, Where’s the Remote, and Bourbon Bay.

Fame and Glory is Doubtful – One of the favorites in online gambling for the Turf would have been Fame and Glory but trainer Aidan O’Brien said that the horse is probably not going to run.  O’Brien may decide to enter Canadian International winner Joshua Tree or Irish Champion Stakes winner Cape Blanco.
