Breeders Betting Champs Elysees Headed to BC Turf

November 30th, 2010 Breeders Cup Betting

Breeders betting will be popular on European standout Champs Elysees in the Breeders Cup Turf on Saturday, November 7th. The horse won the $2 million Canadian International with Garrett Gomez in the irons to gain automatic entrance into the BC Turf.

Champs Elysees should get some serious Breeders wagering attention at the online sportsbook in the Turf with Gomez aboard.

Breeders betting will also see Lahaleeb in the Filly and Mare Turf after the horse won the $1 million E.P. Taylor Stakes over the weekend. Horses continue to make their way into Breeders betting. Champs Elysees took the lead with just yards remaining in the Canadian International and won by a half-length over 3-1 third choice Jukebox Jury to automatically qualify in Breeders betting. It was the third International win for Juddmonte Farms who won with Raintrap in 1994 and French Glory in 1990. The win was the sixth in 28 career starts for Champs Elysees. Last year the horse was in Breeders betting the Classic and finished eighth.

In the E.P. Taylor Stakes it was Lahaleeb winning as a 44-1 longshot. Lahaleeb is a European horse that was coming off a fifth-place finish in the Solonaway Stakes in Ireland. The horse finished 1¾ lengths ahead of Rainbow View to qualify in Breeders betting. "The Breeders’ Cup would be a lovely thing, but we do think she needs a little bit of a cut in the ground, which is why we came here really. So, we are not too sure, really. It’s a question of one race at a time." Trainer Mick Channon said. Lahaleeb has won five of 16 career starts.
