2009 Breeders Cup Wagering Favorites

November 30th, 2010 Breeders Cup Betting

Breeders Cup wagering favorites will be popular on Friday and Saturday but they won’t all win.

Which of the Breeders Cup betting favorites look good and which ones could be vulnerable?

Breeders Cup wagering is the most popular on the Breeders Cup Classic which is the final race on Saturday. The superstar filly Zenyatta is the 5-2 favorite although Rip Van Winkle is the favorite in Europe. Both of these horses look strong but the Classic is loaded with talent and neither is a lock as a Breeders Cup wagering favorite.

Breeders Cup wagering begins on Friday with six races. The first Breeders Cup betting race is the Marathon where Mastery is the 9-5 favorite. This horse looks like a solid favorite but anytime horses go a mile and three quarters there are no guarantees. The next race on Friday is the Juvenile Fillies Turf where Lillies Langtry is the favorite at 3-1. This horse is definitely one of the beatable favorites in Breeders Cup betting. Blind Luck is the 3-1 Breeders Cup wagering favorite in the Juvenile Fillies. This horse is also beatable but the field is not loaded with talent. The Filly & Mare Turf has Forever Together as the 5-2 favorite. The horse is going to get a lot of Breeders Cup wagering attention but all the horses in this race are live including the 15-1 longshot Maram. The Filly & Mare Sprint has Ventura as the 8-5 favorite and this is the one race on Friday where the Breeders Cup wagering favorite looks extremely good. Friday’s Breeders Cup wagering concludes with the Ladies’ Classic where Music Note is the 9-5 favorite. This is another race where the favorite could lose.

Saturday has eight Breeders Cup wagering races. It begins with the Juvenile Turf where the favorite is 4-1. Anytime a favorite is 4-1 or more the race is wide open. The Turf Sprint is similar where the favorite is a lukewarm 7-2. The Sprint has Zensational as the 7-5 favorite and he looks tough. The Juvenile has Looking at Lucky as the 8-5 favorite but the horse starts on the outside which means he is no guarantee in Breeders Cup wagering. Goldikova is the 8-5 Breeders Cup betting favorite in the Mile but this is a talented field. Mastercraftsman is the 6-5 favorite in the Dirt Mile and he is the lowest price favorite and looks good. Conduit is the 7-5 Breeders Cup betting favorite in the Turf but this is a talented group. Zenyatta closes out Breeders Cup wagering as the 5-2 favorite in the Classic.
