Alvarez Top Betting Odds for Boxing Favorite Against Jacobs

Now Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is on a roll as the number one ranked boxer in the world and World Boxing Association super world middleweight champion.  Canelo defeated Gennady Golovkin for the unification world middleweight title Following that was a dominant technical knockout win over Rocky Fielding.  And that is the momentum that has made Alvarez a betting odds for Boxing favorite against Daniel Jacobs for their upcoming bout on May 4.  Jacobs and Alvarez will fight for the unification world middleweight title at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.  Canelo opened as a -335 chalk with Jacobs at +275.

Alvarez has not fought since December 15, 2018 when he scored a third-round technical knockout win over Rocky Fielding.  In turn the bout was for the World Boxing Association world super middleweight title. Madison Square Garden in New York was the venue.  Fielding went down once in each of the first two rounds.  Concurrently Canelo put him down two more times in the third round for the payout.

Oscar De La Hoya

Former champ and current Mexican promoter Oscar De La Hoya believes that Alvarez must go on a direct attack against Jacobs.  As a matter of fact, the Hall of Famer said that Canelo must break down Jacobs.  De Le Hoya commented that the best way to accomplish that would be to throw continuous combinations.
