Xfinity Series Overview

Specifically, for fans and gamblers, the Xfinity Series has a unique role in NASCAR. Known as NASCAR’s “minor” or “developmental” league the Xfinity Series is the second-highest level of stock car racing. Many current NASCAR Cup drivers got their starts in the Xfinity Series.

However, there is a quirk about the series that must be factored into online betting. Drivers from the NASCAR Cup Series will often “double-dip” and drive in select Xfinity Series races. And when Cup drivers race in the Xfinity Series they consistently win or finish near the top. In most cases, they get the best equipment available. Of course, they also have the advantage of experience at competing at the sport’s highest level.

Also factoring into the Xfinity and NASCAR Cup Series connection are race teams that run in both. Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart Haas Racing, Team Penske, and Richard Childress Racing are among them. As a consequence, such major league talent can have a direct effect on the odds. Public betting knowledge of these name brand teams translates to the Xfinity Series lines you see on the board.

Although Xfinity Series racing looks identical to NASCAR Cup Racing there are slight differences in the car setups and rules. Xfinity Series races are also shorter than NASCAR Cup races.

Upcoming Xfinity Series Races

Commencing with Tuesday night’s Darlington 200 is a regular schedule of NASCAR Betting events. Xfinity action will resume Monday, May 25 with the Alsco 300 from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Following that is the Cheddar’s 300 Presented by Alsco at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 30. Saturday, June 6 is the Echo Park 250 from Atlanta Motor Speedway. While the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Homestead Miami Speedway is set for Saturday, June 13. Next on the following day is another Xfinity Series Race at Homestead to make for a weekend to circle on the calendar.

COVID-19 Safety

NASCAR has gone to great effort to ensure the maximum safety for its upcoming races. Specifically, teams are limited to an absolute bare minimum of personnel. Even owners may miss the cut of being able to attend races in person. Further, there is no car setup or adjusting allowed. Drivers use the car unloaded from the team truck as-is. And there are no qualifying runs for track position. Drivers will get starting positions based on the standings. In addition, there will be no fans allowed.

Most media and race announcers will be secure studios located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Extending the precautions are stiff fines to be issued to anyone not practicing social distancing. For this purpose, it is hoped that the schedule can go on without further interruption.
