Indy Betting:Team Penske Going with Three-Car Lineup

Indy betting is going to be popular on Team Penske cars again this season.

There is going to be a change though as Penske will field three cars for the first time since 1994.  Those that bet on Indy will notice that Will Power has joined the team to give Penske three cars.

Indy betting will have Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe among the favorites each week. It will be interesting in Indy betting to see how Will Power fits in with those two Penske drivers.  Last year Castroneves won the Indy 500 for those that bet on Indy while Briscoe was third in the overall standings.  "I hope we have the results like we did in ’94," said Penske President Tim Cindric, "It’s the end of one era and the start of a new one." In 1994, Penske fielded three cars with Al Unser Jr., Paul Tracy and Emerson Fittipaldi.

Power was only in six races last year because of injury but he still won the Edmonton race and was in the Top 10 in his other starts. "It should help us, especially with limits on testing," Briscoe said. "Will doesn’t need a warm-up. He’ll be a good addition, and we’ll be good teammates."

Penske has a very good team as does Ganassi.  They have defending champion Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon.  They were one-two in the points last year in Indy betting.

Not all of the teams are remaining the same in Indy betting this season.  Andretti Autosport has added Ryan Hunter-Reay to their trio of Tony Kanaan, Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti.  It was not a good season for Andretti last year and it may not be any better in 2010.

Those that bet on Indy are excited as the season begins in just a couple of weeks with the race in Brazil on March 14th.  Teams are already testing in preparation for that race.

In other Indy betting news, the USF1 team may not even make the first race this season.   The team is struggling already to get financing and it does not look promising. Even if they do somehow make the first race they would have virtually no chance of winning in Indy betting.

It won’t be long now so you can get ready to bet on Indy by doing your research and preparing for the first race in Brazil.
