Harvick and Busch Roar into Kansas for Saturday Night Betting On NASCAR

October 30th, 2018 Auto Racing, Sportsbook

Kyle Busch continues to lead the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup standings.  A big part of his success was a three-race winning streak.  Even hotter has been Kevin Harvick.  Last week Harvick took the checkers at Dover.  He also put together three consecutive wins earlier this year.  Sandwiched between Harvick and Busch is Joey Logano.  Few betting on NASCAR drivers are more consistent than Logano.  Kansas Speedway will take NASCAR back to its roots.  Saturday night racing is a big part of stock car racing heritage.  The KC Masterpiece 400 runs Saturday night on FS1.

Last week at Dover was a rare black mark for Kyle Busch.  He had his worst race of the season finishing 35th.  Clint Bowyer finished in second place in last Sunday’s race.  Bowyer is fourth in the standings.  Brad Keselowski is in fifth place.  Kyle Busch’s brother Kurt is sixth on the ledger.  Seventh in the standings is Ryan Blaney.  Denny Hamlin is eighth.  Martin Truex Jr and Kyle Larson round out the top ten.

Kansas Speedway is an asphalt surface and tri-oval configuration.  One and a half miles is the track length.  Turn banks range from 17 to 20 degrees on the turns.  Front stretch banking is between nine to 11 degrees.  Seating capacity is 74,000.  Inauguration of this track occurred in 2001.  Kansas City is so popular that it gets two races each year.  KC Masterpiece 400 is the spring race. It has been run under various name since 2011.  Hollywood Casino 400 is the fall race.  Martin Truex Jr was the winner of this event one year ago.  Kyle Busch was the betting on NASCAR winner in 2016.  Jimmie Johnson took the checkers in 2015.

After a terrible start Johnson has rebounded with methodical improvement. The seven time NASCAR Cup champion has climbed to 12th in the standings.  He has finished ninth or better in three of the last four races.  Kansas Speedway has been dominated by #48.  Johnson has 23 career starts at Kansas with three wins and an average finish of 9.65.  He has nine top fives and 17 top tens at that venue.

Kevin Harvick has also had plenty of online sportsbook success at Kansas.  In 24 career starts there, Harvick has two wins and an average finish of 9.96.  At Kansas he has seven top fives and 13 top ten finishes.

Brad Keselowski has also proved to be a strong contender at Kansas Speedway.  With 16 career starts he has one win and an average finish of 13.13.  Keselowski has posted three top fives and eight top tens at Kansas.

Kyle Buch has been so-so at Kansas Speedway.  With 20 career starts he has just one win and an average finish of 17.35.

Matchup to Watch

Johnson and Harvick look like strong betting on NASCAR choices.  They are in good form with strong records at Kansas Speedway.  Keselowski also figures to rate well.
