Busch Brothers Popular in Vegas NASCAR Betting Race

NASCAR betting will be popular this week on the Busch brothers as the Sprint Cup Series goes to Las Vegas for the Shelby American on Sunday.

It is the third race of the season for those that bet on NASCAR. NASCAR betting is likely to have Kyle and Kurt Busch among the favorites along with last week’s winner Jimmie Johnson.  The Busch brothers are Las Vegas natives so they know their home track well and they will get some betting support from those that bet on NASCAR. Jimmie Johnson will also be popular in NASCAR betting since he has won at this track three times.

It will be interesting to watch this week the Richard Childress Racing cars. Kevin Harvick is the point’s leader after two races while Clint Bowyer is second and Jeff Burton fifth.  The only problem with taking one of these three drivers in NASCAR betting is that they don’t win.  Harvick has not won in 109 races while Bowyer has gone 64 races without a win. It has been 43 races since Burton last won but he is a NASCAR betting contender this week simply because he has the most wins of any driver at Las Vegas with five.

The defending champ of Sunday’s race in Las Vegas is Kyle Busch and he is a popular choice this week.  Kyle has started the season slowly and is just 13th in the standings while Kurt is 11th.  Another driver that has started slowly is Jeff Gordon who is 21st in the standings. Gordon has done well at Las Vegas and he could get things turned around this week for those that bet on NASCAR. Another driver that could get things going in the right direction is Mark Martin. He has had some success at Las Vegas in the past and is usually a strong finisher at this track.

There are a few drivers that you may want to avoid this week in NASCAR betting.  Even though Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second at Daytona it is obvious that his team does not have things figured out.  He was poor last week at California and in reality he wasn’t very good at Daytona until the last lap.  It was thought this could be the season that Jr. turned things around but if you are going to bet on NASCAR you must take a wait and see approach with Jr.  Kasey Kahne is another driver that was thought to be a contender this season but he has not had any luck at all so far this season so a cautious approach might be a good idea with him in NASCAR betting.
