Andrei Arlovski vs. Philipe Lins is an attention grabber on the preliminary card. Yet Michael Johnson is another big-name draw. The veteran UFC star has an attractive sportsbook matchup with Thiago Moises. Betting action opened fairly split for both bouts. Andrei Arlovski vs. Philipe Lins
While Andrei Arlovski is long past his championship prime, he remains a popular marquee man. Arlovski won the UFC heavyweight championship in February of 2005. Subsequently, he successfully defended his title twice. The 41-year-old heavyweight has a career record of 28 wins with 19 losses. Late on Arlovski has won only three of his last 13 bouts. In his last fight, he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik. UFC 244 was the event on November 2, 2019, at New York. Prior to that was a Betting on UFC unanimous decision win over Ben Rothwell.
At the same time, Philipe Lins is seen as an up and comer. Wednesday will mark his UFC debut after arriving from the Professional Fighters League. Before that Lins was a star in Bellator MMA. Accordingly, the 34-year-old Linz has a career record of 15 wins and three losses. He departed the Professional Fighters League as the champion of the 2018 heavyweight tournament. Lins is looking to step into UFC heavyweight contender status.
Michael Johnson vs. Tiago Moises
Namely, Michael “The Menace” Johnson is one of the UFC’s most popular fighters. He made a name for himself on The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck where he finished as runner up. Johnson made his UFC debut 10 years ago. Late on he has slumped badly with seven losses in his last 10 bouts. Including to defeats in a row.
Counter to Johnson is Thiago Moises record of 12-4. Of great concern is that Moises has dropped two of his last three UFC bouts. The last time out for Moises in UFC action was a unanimous decision loss to Damir Ismagulov. UFC on ESPN+ was the event held on August 31, 2019.
