England Leads Top Alternative Contenders

First choice to topple New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup is England at +450.  It may surprise fans to learn that England won the 2003 Rugby World Cup.  England is currently ranked fourth in the world.  Likewise, they have won the Six Nations Championship a total of 28 times.  Captain Owen Farrell has played for England since 2012.  Specifically, Farrell has a total of 721 points in 65 career appearances for England.  In addition, England will offer potentially better value as a capable team that is not overpriced.  Eddie Jones has been head coach since 2015.

Ireland Gets Gambling Love

Staring with a price of +500 with the rugby betting odds does Ireland garner attention?  The Irish national team ranks third best in the world entering World Cup competition.  Even though their best finish was the quarterfinals six times, Ireland is gaining respect.  Hooker Rory Best is the legendary 36-year-old captain of Ireland.  Namely Best has a total of over 100 caps for Ireland since his debut on the national team in 2005.  Head coach Joe Schmidt is a New Zealand native.  Schmidt has led Ireland to three titles in the Six Nations Championships.

Wales in the Hunt

As a consequence of their second in the world ranking does Wales open at +700.  Head coach Warren Gatland has been a major reason for Eales success.  To illuminate Gatland has led Wales to four titles in the Six Nations Championships.  Wales best World Cup finish with third all the way back in 1987.
