The win came from a strong defensive effort, and stopping the Colts star QB A. Luck during the game as they forced 5 turnovers, with CB D. Revis forcing 3 of the turnovers while they kept QB Luck rushing his game.
Offensively the Jets QB R. Fitzpatrick played well as he took advantage of numerous Colt mistakes, as he completed 22 of 34 passes for some 245 yards as he passed for 2 TD’s. This was his 1st career win which allowed his team to start the season at 2-0 which is a first since back in 2011.
The Jets defensively should be able to handle the Eagles passing game that has averaged some 276 yards each game, with their strong CB play from Cromartie and Revis holding the receivers of Philadelphia back. Then their strong line on defense which has held their opponents in the 1st 2 games to less than 4 yards each running attempt could be problematic for the Eagles, especially if the Eagles offensive line continues it poor performance.
Offensively the Jets will be depending on RB C. Ivory who to date is averaging some 4.5 yards each carry in the 1st 2 games, then WR B. Marshall whom in the last game against the Colts, has 1 TD on 7 receptions for some 102 yards. New York in their ultimate 10 home games, they have 4 wins and 6 losses straight up.
The prediction for this game is that the Jets of New York will outscore the Eagles of Philadelphia 24-14 as the Jets go to 3-0 and the Eagles to 0-3!A
