This past Saturday afternoon we saw the unranked Clemson Tigers 15-12 ACC playing the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils 24-3 ACC at the Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina and tip-off was at 4:15 PM ET and seen on ESPN TV.

The Duke Blue Devils in this game rolled over the Clemson Tigers, even as their star player Okafor sat out the game, and Duke still won the game 78 to 56.

The scoring in the game in the first half gave the Tigers a 15 point deficit as the game went to half with Clemson 27 and Duke 42. In the 2nd half the game was somewhat closer in the scoring, but the Tigers could not make enough points to eliminate their 1st half deficit, as in the 2nd half the Tigers scored 29 points and the Blue Devils scored some 42 points, thus the game ended with the Duke Blue Devils 78 and the Clemson Tigers 56.

The comparison of statistics in the game pretty well spell the outcome as in total points it was Clemson 56 Duke 78, for Field Goal Attempts the Tigers made 22 of their 53 shots for a .415 completion percent, while Duke made 30 of their 58 shots for a .517 completion rate. The Blue Devils won this game without their star Okafor who is their score leader as well as leader in rebounds and percentage on shooting. He was injured in their OT win over North Carolina on Wednesday evening. However, in the first half of this game the Blue Devils struggled as on their 1st eleven 3-Point shots they only made 1 for 3 points, then came back and made 6 consecutive and ended the game making 7 of 20 three pointers.

In the Duke win over North Carolina after Okafor was injured their Tyrus Jones stepped up and had 22 points in the 2nd half of the game and in OT as they managed to escape the loss and beat the Tar Heels 92-90. Presently #4 Duke in the ACC rankings is 2nd at 11-3 overall 24-3 behind #10 Notre at 12-3 overall 24-4 and 3rd behind #3 Virginia at 12-1 overall 24-1.
