The visiting Cardinals (3-0) took a well deserved week off after upsetting then-No. 2 ranked USC, 21-14 on September 15th. This is a different team then Andrew Lucks version of a year ago, relying on defense to produce victories. Washington (2-1) did not fare so well in their early season encounter with a top 5 team falling to number 3 LSU 41-3 on the 8th of September. In that one, they only managed 26 total rushing yards. They did come back nicely against a much lesser opponent in a 52-13 win against Portland State the following week. They too were idle last week.
