The 2026 Presidents Cup is the 16th staging of the PGA Tour’s biennial team match between the United States and an International side drawn from everywhere except Europe.
Namely, Brandt Snedeker captains the Americans with assistants Gary Woodland, Jim Furyk, Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson. Geoff Ogilvy leads the Internationals with Tim Clark, Trevor Immelman, Taylor Pendrith and Camilo Villegas. The United States has won 13 of the 15 previous Cups, with one International win in 1998 and one tie in 2003. A win this week would be the Americans’ 11th straight.

Overall, the international side spans Australia, Canada, Colombia, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea. Scott is in his 12th Cup. LIV players are ineligible. Kim is the only international player inside the world top 20; the American roster is deeper at the top of the rankings.
2026 Presidents Cup
The 2026 Presidents Cup is the 16th Sportsbook edition of the biennial team matches between the United States and the International side. The competition runs Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27 at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.

U.S. television follows the usual PGA Tour team-event pattern. Golf Channel and Golf Channel mobile carry Thursday’s opening four-ball session (roughly 12:30–7 p.m. ET after a noon opening ceremony). Next, Friday’s foursomes (about 2–7 p.m. ET). Saturday morning starts on Golf Channel and Peacock. And then NBC and Peacock take the bulk of the day from about 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET. Sunday singles are on NBC and Peacock from noon to 6 p.m. ET.

To summarize, the Golf betting odds market has this one pretty well boxed in. Most U.S. books sit around the United States -400, Internationals +350, and a tie around plus 1400. That is about an 80 percent implied chance the Americans keep the Cup at Medinah, which matches the history. To illustrate: 13–1–1 all time, ten straight wins, and no International victory on U.S. soil. Laying minus 400 to collect a hundred is an expensive bet. Hence, gamblers are paying a tax for something that is already the most likely result.
Scottie Scheffler is world number one and the automatic face of the U.S. team. But his Presidents Cup record is 3–5–1. Do not assume he racks up four points. Collin Morikawa and Russell Henley have the cleanest American match-play marks on this roster. Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay have already shown they travel well in this event. Finally, those three are safer building blocks for “will win at least two matches” or pairing props once Snedeker shows his fourball groups.
