NFL Week 7 Offers Rivalry Renewals

July 1, 2025 By Patrick Jones

Nfl Football, Offshore Bookmaker

At the onset of Week 7 is a Thursday night Prime Video matchup of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals. Since 1970, these two AFC North rivals have been slugging it out. Pittsburgh has never had a losing NFL odds season under head coach Mike Tomlin. Correlate that Pittsburgh has been a consistent playoff contender under his watch. However, Pittsburgh has not been in a Super Bowl since the 2011 season. Hence, Steeler fans are running out of patience.

Since 1969, the Steelers have had only three head coaches. It is the most stable franchise in pro football. But there is a sense that Tomlin’s shelf life may have been reached.

In the early afternoon window, one of the NFL’s great historical rivalries will be renewed. To show, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders. Gone are the days of lore when the Chiefs and Raiders played twice each season for the highest of stakes. Still, the offshore bookmaker DNA of those days has lived on. Hence, this game is always worth watching. The Raiders are hoping to be reborn under head coach Pete Carroll. Now in his early 70s, Carroll acts younger than most men in their 40s.

Speaking of ancient rivalries with a historical accent, the Dallas Cowboys will host the Washington Commanders in the NFL betting odds late afternoon window. Decades ago, when Washinton was known as the Redskins, they and the Cowboys consistently met for the NFC East championship.

Last year, Washington was the surprise team of the NFL, making the NFC championship game under head coach Dan Quinn, who was in his first year on the job. Quinn teamed up with rookie QB Jayden Daniels for a season that will not be forgotten. Now, the question is whether Quinn and Daniels can sustain their success.

Washington has gone from the hunter to the hunted and will no longer ambush their opponents as they did last season. Correlate, there is justifiable fear of the sophomore jinx and a loss of betting value now that the public respects Washington.

At first glance, the Cowboys appear to be a mess. However, a closer examination still reveals enough talent to beat anyone they face and make the playoffs.

Monday Night offers a doubleheader with the Detroit Lions hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Houston Texans. In sum, all four clubs are playoff-caliber, making for a strong card.
