Oklahoma City Thunder Gains 2025 NBA Futures Credibility

Nba Basketball, Offshore Betting

Certainly, Wise Guys love OKC because they do not draw the attention of casual gamblers. Incredibly enough, the Thunder continues to print money. Oklahoma City has not lost value over the past year. The cashier’s cage is its property for 2024-25. Last year, Oklahoma City was one of the top threats to win the Western Conference, at the very least. And with Shai Gilgeous Alexander, the Thunder have one of the best players in the NBA. Most important of all, the Thunder made gamblers happy. OKC provides good NBA future odds profit margin and consistent board value.

Oklahoma City Thunder Key Players and Coach

Mark Daigneault has been the head coach since the 2020 season after serving as an assistant from 2016 through 2020. He was a previous assistant and is a disciple of former Thunder coaching great Billy Donovan. Daigneault has a career regular-season record of 143-175. Last year was his first NBA playoff odds season.

PG Shai Gilgeous Alexander led the Thunder with 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game last year. He is a 3-time NBA All-Star, including this season. Alexander averaged 23.7 or more points per game in the past three seasons. So far this season, he is averaging 32.5 points and six assists per game.

Oklahoma City Thunder Team Overview

In sum, Oklahoma City has NBA metrics of 6th for scoring offense, 10th for field goal percentage, 16th for 3-point field goal percentage, 1st for free throw percentage, and 14th for offensive rebounding. On defense, the Thunder have NBA metrics of 1st for scoring defense, 1st for field goal percentage permitted, 1st for 3-point field goal percentage allowed, and 26th for defensive rebounding.

Of course, Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti is the best in pro basketball. Presti completely remade the OKC Thunder and transformed the team into a top Western Conference in its fourth season after a total teardown.
As the All-Star break approaches, the Oklahoma City Thunder are 39-9 straight up, 31-14-3 against the spread, and 24-22-2 over/under the offshore betting total. Oklahoma City is 1st in the Western Conference playoff standings. Overall, Oklahoma City is six games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Oklahoma City Thunder Team History

Since their move to Oklahoma City from Seattle in 2008, the Thunder have been a consistent playoff team. They made the NBA Finals in just their fourth season in Oklahoma, and they made the playoffs in 10 of their first 12 years in their new home.

Namely, Clay Bennett led a consortium that bought the franchise in 2006. Bennett and his group had seen that basketball could work in Oklahoma City after the New Orleans Hornets played in OKC for two years following Hurricane Katrina. The Thunder had two superstars to build around after taking Kevin Durant as No. 2 overall in the 2007 NBA Draft. And then Russell Westbrook as No. 4 overall in the 2008 NBA Draft.

Oklahoma City was a title contender for a half-decade with Durant and Westbrook. Still, the Thunder gave us one of the biggest what-if scenarios in the modern-day NBA after they traded James Harden to the Houston Rockets after the 2012 season. Harden established himself as a future Hall of Famer in Houston. And that move was part of why Durant wanted to get out of OKC.
