Comets bouncing back this WNBA betting Season at SBG Global

January 11th, 2021 WNBA Betting Odds

WNBA betting is sport that is relatively new to the sporting landscape. However, in the brief history of the league the most dominate team in the WNBA odds to date has been the Houston Comets. With more titles than any other team in WNBA betting history, it was blow the franchise to finish so poorly in the WNBA odds standings last season.

WNBA betting fans were shocked to see this team go from potential WNBA betting title contender to a franchise struggling to finish the 2007 season. But the collapse had more to do with bad luck and injury than anything else and there is a very good chance that the Houston Comets will finish much better in the WNBA betting this year than the 13-24 mark of a season ago.

One of the major reasons why the Comets dropped to such a terrible record in the WNBA betting standings was the loss of franchise star Sheryl Swoopes in the early part of the season with a season ending back injury. With a healthy Swoopes most WNBA betting analysts expected the Comets to make the WNBA odds postseason. But last year it simply didn’t happen.

This year the WNBA betting world once again is expecting big things from the Houston Comets as Swoopes is back in the line up and ready to carry the team to WNBA betting success. But Swoopes is hardly the only key contributor that will be back. Midway through the WNBA betting action last season the team welcomed back veteran point guard Tameka Dixon who gave the team a huge boost in the second half of the WNBA odds betting.

The star of the Comets, Tina Thompson was stellar last year in the WNBA betting and much will be expected of her again this season. She averaged 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists to put together one of the best seasons in WNBA betting last year. If Thompson continues to compete at a high level and the team stay’s healthy there is a good chance the Comets will be in the WNBA betting in the playoffs.
