2007-2008 Houston Cougars College Basketball Lines

College basketball lines on the Houston Cougars could be lower this season since Houston should improve upon last year’s disappointing year. Lanny Smith is back from injury and should help Houston make a mark versus basketball lines in 2007-2008. “This is, by far, the best team I’ve had at the University of Houston,” head coach Tom Penders said.

College basketball lines experts remember that Smith averaged 12.1 points and 5.4 assists two years ago.  With Rob McKiver providing backcourt support, the Cougars have a great one-two scoring punch from the outside. McKiver averaged 19.2 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds his first year at Houston. Marcus Malone started 19 games and should provide support according to college basketball lines experts. Upfront most experts that bet college basketball lines believe Dion Dowell needs to produce more.  He needs to spend more time down low than on the outside according to basketball lines experts. Tafari Toney may also provide support according to those that bet college basketball lines. The 6-8, 241 pound senior will also need to be a better rebounder and stay out of foul trouble according to basketball lines experts.  Mosley and Cousin may also provide support down low.

The Cougars have some nice newcomers according to college basketball lines experts. Kelvin Lewis, DaShaun Williams, Horace McGloster, Zamal Nixon, Brockeith Pane, Al Jones and Kyle Hatcher may get some playing time according to college basketball lines experts. Lewis should make the biggest impact according to college basketball lines experts. Williams may make an impact off the bench as college basketball lines experts see it.
McGloster is a big 6-7 wing who can play a lot of spots. Nixon and Pane will see minutes at the point and may be important. Marcus Cousin will be expected to play well off the bench according to those that look at college basketball lines.

Experts that bet college basketball lines know that the guards are the scorers for Houston.  How far the Cougars go depends upon how much support the big men down low provide.  Cousin could be a big key down low according to those that bet basketball lines.  College basketball lines experts see a starting lineup of Lanny Smith and Rob McKiver at the guards, Marcus Malone and Dion Dowell at forwards and Tafari Toney at Center.
