Cincinnati Picks New Head Coach Sports Books

Cincinnati Picks New Head Coach Sports Books. Sports books have seen Cincinnati go to the well at Central Michigan once again to hire their head football coach.Cincinnati had to replace Brian Kelly who went to Notre Dame and they have hired Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones. Sports books don’t like Cincinnati’s chances in the Sugar Bowl since Kelly left as the Bearcats are 10.5 point underdogs at the Internet sportsbook to Florida.

Sports books saw Central Michigan have another successful season this year so the Bearcats looking to Central Michigan for their head coach is not a surprise. Kelly did a great job at Cincinnati after coming over from Central Michigan and the Bearcats will hope that Jones can repeat what Kelly did. Sports books indicate that Jones was 26-13 in three seasons with Central Michigan. Central Michigan was 11-2 this Internet sportsbook season and will play in the GMAC Bowl. Sports books reports have Jones agreeing to a five-year deal to coach Cincinnati. Central Michigan was a very nice 9-3 against the odds at sports books this season so Jones looks like a good choice as the new head coach.

The Bearcats are still likely to be coached by offensive coordinator Jeff Quinn for their bowl game against Florida. Quinn would have liked the head coaching job but the administration at Cincinnati went to Jones instead. It now seems unlikely that Jones will coach Central Michigan in their bowl game against Troy. Central Michigan is a 3.5 point favorite at sports books in that game against Troy on January 6th.

The offense for Cincinnati figures to stay the same next Internet sportsbook year since Jones used Kelly’s spread offense at Central Michigan. It also helped Jones that he was an assistant to Rich Rodriguez from 2005-2006 at West Virginia. He is already very familiar with the Big East Conference. Cincinnati returns a lot of offensive talent next season and could be a success again at sports books. They could be even better against the sports books odds.

Cincinnati may look good for next season at sports books but they don’t seem ready for their bowl game against Florida. Quinn isn’t getting the head coaching job, Kelly is gone and now a new coach is coming in. Sports books don’t like the chances of Cincinnati against Florida in the Sugar Bowl. The Gators are double-digit favorites at the Internet sportsbook.
