Zenyatta Wins Classic, Stays Unbeaten Sports Betting

Sports betting can be very exciting and that was the case on Saturday in the Breeders Cup Classic as Zenyatta remained unbeaten by winning her 14th straight race.  She was the online sports betting favorite in the Classic and did not disappoint, coming from behind in spectacular fashion to win.  It was quite a finish that wrapped up 14 races in Breeders Cup sports betting action.

Sports betting had Zenyatta going off as the favorite in the race and she had bettors worried for a while.  She was last for much of the race before turning on the jets and beating the other 12 horses in this online sports betting classic race.  She now is in the online sports betting conversation for Horse of the Year along with Rachel Alexandra.  Zenyatta paid $7.60 to win in sports betting.  Gio Ponti finished second, Twice Over was third and Summer Bird finished fourth in the premier sports betting race. Quality Road was scratched after scraping a hind leg just before the online sports betting race so there was not action on Quality Road for the Breeders Cup.

It was an exciting sports betting winner for Zenyatta and her connections.
“I can’t believe it. She is a great, great filly,” trainer John Shirreffs said. “She is all heart. The way the crowd took to her was just amazing. They cheered for her, they clapped for her. They love her. What a wonderful relationship.”

The crowd was cheering for Zenyatta and her win was a great sports betting moment. “Today was really emotional and a wonderful experience,” Shirreffs said. Shirreff’s also won the Ladies’ Classic on Friday in sports betting with Life is Sweet. “Life Is Sweet is the princess, and Zenyatta is the queen in my barn,” he said.

The sports betting question now is whether or not Zenyatta wins Horse of the Year over Rachel Alexandra. “I wish they would have brought her here to prove to the racing world what Zenyatta is really about,” jockey Mike Smith said. “I’m not going to say I’d have beaten her, because that’s one person’s opinion. I’d have given anything to run against her.”  Sports betting had Zenyatta paying $7.60 to win, $5.60 to place and $3.80 to show. Gio Ponti paid $9.20 to place in sports betting and $6.60 to show.  Twice Over paid $7.00 to show as sports betting noted.
