Wide Open NFC Online Sports Betting Odds

Sports betting journalists already had their story laid out in front of them before the 2009 Tour de France even got underway.  Online sports betting odds are wide open in the NFC for the 2009 NFL season. There are a number of teams that have sportsbetting odds of less than 10-1.  The New York Giants are the slight 5-1 favorite to win the NFC in online sports betting odds.

Online sports betting odds have the Philadelphia Eagles as the second choice at 6 to 1 to win the NFC.  They are followed closely by the Dallas Cowboys at 6.5 to 1 in online sports betting odds.  The Minnesota Vikings are listed at 7-1 in online sports betting odds.  Those sportsbetting odds have dropped since the rumors about Brett Farve joining the Vikings have surfaced.  Without Favre the Vikings would not be nearly as popular in online sportsbetting.  The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are not far behind the Vikings in online sports betting odds. Both teams are listed at 8-1 to win the NFC in sportsbetting numbers at the sports book.

A number of other teams are given reasonable chances to win the NFC in online sportsbetting odds.    The Arizona Cardinals, who won the NFC last season, are listed at 10-1 at the sportsbook.  Also at 10-1 at the sports book are the Carolina Panthers, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins.  The San Francisco 49ers are even given a chance in the NFC as they are listed at 15-1. The Tampa Bay Bucs are 20-1 as are the Seattle Seahawks.  The St. Louis Rams are 40-1 while the Detroit Lions are 85-1 at the sportsbook.  Neither of these teams looks to have much of a chance.

Of these teams on the online sports betting board there are some that have a lot better value than others.  There is very little value in any team that is listed at less than 10-1 in online sports betting odds.  There are some teams that have some value though in sportsbetting.  The Packers are a decent value at 10-1 in online sportsbetting odds.  It was just two years ago that they should have gone to the Super Bowl.  The Seattle Seahawks should be vastly improved and they are a very nice value at 20-1 in online sportsbetting lines.  Teams that are overvalued include Washington and Tampa Bay as neither team has a quarterback capable of leading them to the Super Bowl in 2009.
