Biden the Safe Choice for Obama at SBG Global

November 24th, 2021 Presidential Political Betting

Political betting odds were not really affected by Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s selection of Joe Biden as his VP running mate. One reason that the political betting odds did not move much is that Biden is a safe choice and not a “wow” choice. Online political betting odds on the U.S. Presidential race are impacted by many things including the selection of a running mate. In the case of the political betting odds on Obama, the selection of Biden did nothing to enhance his chances.

Political betting experts see that the selection of he was a traditional choice as Biden is a Washington insider with a lot of experience but little appeal. Political betting pundits believe that Biden will not enhance Obama’s appeal but that he shouldn’t hurt it either.

Online political betting experts see that Biden has 35 years of experience in the Senate and has a lot of foreign policy experience.

Those qualities could make up for Obama’s weaknesses or they could point them out according to political betting pundits. Political betting history shows that he has run twice for President himself and has attracted few voters. He has been known to make mistakes and run off at the mouth.

He is also a supporter and friend of John McCain and that fact doesn’t help Obama in terms of political betting. The selection of Biden didn’t really affect the political betting odds like the selection of Hillary Clinton would have. Selecting Biden was a safe choice but may not have been the best choice in terms of political betting.

Biden has supported McCain in the past and criticized Obama so he will not be a huge factor in helping Obama in terms of political betting odds. Many online political betting pundits believe that Clinton would have been the better choice but they realize he was the safe choice.

The problem for Obama is that Biden has no national following and doesn’t generate much buzz in political betting circles. That fact could be a problem considering Obama is slipping in many online political betting polls.
