Online Wagering Golf Update: Tiger Set To Make 2011 Debut

November 27th, 2020 Online Wagering

The online wagering world didn’t have to wait very long. The speculation was rampant as to when Tiger Woods would make his debut in the 2011 PGA Tour season and while it was much expected that Woods would be a participant in the Farmers Insurance Open (Jan27th-30th) it was only recently confirmed.

With his tee time just hours away, the most anticipated event sporting event so far this year is about to get underway. All of sports fandom is eager to see if Woods has rebounded from a nightmarish 2010 season in which he failed to win a single tournament for the first time in his career.  Or after recently falling to #3 in the world rankings –his lowest ranking since capturing the #1 spot more than a decade ago- will he simply keep sliding down?

According to golf online wagering experts, Woods is among the favorites to win the PGA tournament this weekend.  Even if not every betting line on the wagering online sites picks him as the favorite in this tournament, nearly all the golf experts in the media from ESPN to Yahoo! Sports like his chances.

And why not?

Woods has shown us several times in the past, whether coming off major injuries or radical overhauls of his swing, he can bounce back from adversity and be even dominant in the online wagering golf competition than ever before.

And on top of that he’ll be playing on his favorite course in the universe.  The main reason why Woods is playing in the Farmers Insurance Open isn’t for the money or to improve his world ranking, but the simple fact that it’s at Torrey Pines.

Woods winning at Torrey Pines has pretty much been a given throughout his career.  The past five times Woods has played this course in a tournament he has won (going all the way back to 2005).  That win streak includes the 2008 US Open and Woods has never finished out of the top ten at any event held here.

Woods also heads into the Farmers with a bit of momentum as the last tournament he played in, the Chevron World Challenge, he looked like his old self dominating the field until uncharacteristically blowing a 4-shot lead on the final day.

Tiger has gone too long without a win in the golf wagering online competition and that drought should come to an end this weekend.
