Serena & Venus Top Online Betting Tennis Ranking

Serena and Venus Top Online Betting Tennis Ranking. The French Open begins in just over a week’s time and the Williams’ sisters will be ranked first and second in online betting. Serena holds the top spot and her sister Venus has moved up to second in the rankings.  Internet betting numbers indicate that they have not been ranked first and second since May of 2003.

Online betting odds favor Justine Henin to win the French Open but Serena and Venus will be contenders.  With the Williams’ sisters seeded first and second in the French Open it will mean they could only meet in the final. The sisters were ranked first and second in the rankings in 2002 when Venus was first followed by Serena.  Now it is Serena that holds the top spot but Venus has proven she can still play well as she is up to number two. Neither of them may be able to handle Henin who is excellent on clay.

The French Open could be all about Henin in online betting.  After her it looks wide open.  Recently, Caroline Wozniacki was upset by Lucie Safarova. Defending French Open champ Svetlana Kuznetsova was beaten by Li Na. Victoria Azarenka was beaten by Anna Lapushchenkova. Elena Dementieva also lost in the third round a couple of weeks ago.   In Madrid, both Elena Dementieva and Wozniacki were beaten in the second round. Svetlana Kuznetsova and Maria Sharapova lost in the first round. Henin also lost in the first round. Henin may not get much of a challenge at the French Open. Kim Clijsters is out with an injury.  The Williams’ sisters look to be the only potential challengers for Henin.

On the men’s side it looks to be all Rafael Nadal at the French Open in online betting. He has not lost on clay this year and his main challenger, Roger Federer is not playing well.  Nadal is going to be a huge favorite in French Open online betting odds.

The French Open is going to present bettors with some interesting options.  There will be some big longshots on the Internet betting board. The problem with taking any of them is that Henin looks very tough and Nadal might be unbeatable this time since Federer is off his game. It could be the two favorites do quite well in this year’s French Open. Perhaps the Williams’ sisters will throw a wrench into things and in tennis betting you never know.
